The Duncan's

Monday I was able to photograph the lovely Duncan family.  I have to say that I think a lot about this family.  We have been going to church (Cedar Creek Baptist, you should come visit) together for quite some time.  I have watched little Emma become not so little and Clay turn in to a handsome young man.   I know their mom Christy, and dad Johnny, are very proud.
We shot the affair at Christy’s beautiful family home place.  It consisted of a charming log cabin with a lovely wooden porch swing that had an amazing view of the lake.  After taking some shots there, we walked down the hill to the lake where we took some more shots of the only ones who were daring enough to get on the private dock, Christy and Clay.  It was actually pretty sturdy!  Especially if it held me J  Down in the corner was an old boat that was docked on the beach that once was.
We finished up our shoot at the hidden spring.  It was captivating to walk down the grass covered steps that used to be trodden on by several generations of families and to know that the trees once heard the laughter of kids tromping through the spring and trying to balance on the channel that fed the lake.  That my friend’s, is how we ended our session.

Warren Family Photoshoot

Sunday I had the great pleasure of taking the Warren family’s photos. They consist of mom Tara, dad Blake, and baby boy Nolan. Let me just tell you how cute Mr. Nolan is. He is 25 lbs of pure joy. Just looking at him makes you grin. When we first started, we put him in the grass so I could get some shots and apparently that did not go over well with him. The look on his face said “What in the world is touching me??” He crinkled his brows and stared at the grass daring it to do something.
As we walked through Berry taking shots he showed interest everywhere we went. He was one of the most curious little boys I’ve ever met. I ended our session in the fountain catching the expression of a beautiful little boy as he kicked happily in the water.
